The Lind Burbank jury in the alienation of affection suit reached a sealed verdict yesterday after noon at 5 30 o clock and retired at 12 20. Judge Stevens delivered the charge at 11 45 a m. The verdict will be opened at 9 30 o'clock this morning in Middlesex Superior Civil Court at East Cambridge.
Sherman shows slight improvement and plans to board the US cruiser Chicago tomorrow. Tourists flood Santiago after scenes of combat before capitulation. Mrs Wood hosts a weekly reception at the palace as gunboat Baracoa arrives under Ensign Lisle to boost the US navy.

A massive explosion at the E I Dupont powder works at Carney Point injures several and kills three workers Isaac Layton William Ford and John Magill. The blast, heard across the Delaware River, caused extensive damage to the drying house storehouses and other buildings. He notes more than 700 ticket requests, including from William Hepburn Russell of Boston who urges a truly Democratic banquet and division of supporters.
Bridgeport Connecticut March 22 The trial of Dr Nancy A Guilford midwife charged with second degree murder in the death of Emma Gill of Southington begins with nine witnesses examined The testimony centers on the discovery of Emma Gill's body parts in Yellow Mill Pond and related events The jury comprises ten farmers a merchant and a carpenter The State claims Emma Gill died after an operation performed at Guilford's house and the body was dismembered and disposed of in water The day ends with several witnesses aiding the corroboration of the discovery and the weighed body parts being identified by Policeman Hazel
Benjamin F. Tracy, former Secretary of the Navy, will defend Roland B. Molineux as the accused faces an indictment for sending a poison package that caused Mrs. Kate A dams death. The famed lawyer’s fee is set at $1000 per court day, with trial expected to last weeks. District Attorney Gardiner says no special counsel will be hired.
