Tie vote for DAR state regent in Massachusetts
The Massachusetts Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, failed to elect a state regent after a tie. The result will be decided by the Continental Congress in Washington. April 14 vote totals: Mrs. George O. Jenkins of Boston and Mrs. Frank D. Ellison of Belmont each with 62 votes. Mrs. Charles G. Chick of Hyde Park elected vice regent over Mrs. Elmer B. Young of Fall River 59 to 53.
