Captain B S Clark dies after illness in Brockton

Captain B S Clark an old Brockton resident died this afternoon from internal hemorrhages. Born in Vineyard Haven in 1821, he spent twenty years at sea and captained whalers including Coral and Claris out of New Bedford. He was 74. His body will be sent to New Bedford for interment with funeral Friday afternoon.

Joseph Robinson of Robinson Manufacturing Company Oxford died this morning of pneumonia at age 82. Born in England May 9, 1812, he married Frances A. Lewis and moved to the United States in 1836. He and Frances had fifteen children, six survive. A veteran woollen manufacturer since 188, he amassed about $600,000.
