Boston Chamber of Commerce reacts to Leyland and Atlantic line deal
Elwyn G. Preston secretary of the Chamber of Commerce says consolidation of Leyland and Atlantic Transport lines should not hurt Boston commerce. He notes the grand line has long driven Boston growth and that absorbing a New York Baltimore route will not materially alter conditions. He sees potential New York Liverpool competition but sees no need for alarm.
