New York March 2 Frank Owens once said to have served as a butler to Theodore Roosevelt died today in Bellevue hospital of erysipelas. He will be buried in Potter's Field unless friend and employer William Nearry, a saloon keeper, can raise funds for the undertaker. Owens recalled that after Roosevelt’s college graduation he worked for the family and claimed he once boxed with Roosevelt, who gave him a suit of clothes to keep quiet.
