Exhibit of Berry Paintings at Twentieth Century Club

Nathaniel L. Berry of West Newton opens a landscape and marine painting exhibit at the Twentieth Century Club on Joy Street Beacon Hill. The show features works from The Cape to the Rugged Hills of Old New Hampshire including Mt Ossipee from Melvin River and In the Old Town by the Sea Marblehead. The collection totals about forty works with eight thumb box sketches and notes promising a week longer run.

Tech Cadet Corps Dance Sees Elaborate Hall Decor

The regimental hop by the Cadet Corps of the Institute of Technology last evening at Horticultural Hall featured smart uniforms and mixed military with continental styles. Radcliffe Smith Wellesley and Vassar were among the guest partners, with banners and novel features enhancing the festive atmosphere. Matrons included Mrs. Richard T. Fined for Cruelty to Horses in Waltham Court

Richard Briggs Jr of Lincoln and Howard E F Coburn of Weston were fined $25 each by Judge Luce in Waltham Court for alleged cruelty to a four horse team. The complaint came from the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Both appellants appealed.
