U S Protests Austria Over Petrolite Attack

The United States rejects Austro-Hungarian claims about the December 5 attack on the Standard Oil tanker Petrolite in the Mediterranean. The note demands apology, punishment, and indemnity for the assault on American nationals and the flag.
