Downey to Race and Pace Records at Charles River Park

Downey 10 Ride will ride an exhibition mile at Charles River Park on Saturday, then attempt to beat his 37 mile record in a match against Eddie MacDuffee at New Shed ford. No Wind Shields Plans for Twenty Four Hour Race

Frank Waller and Burns Pierce concluded a wind shield free twenty four hour motor paced contest to be held July 3 and 4. They aim to surpass Waller’s American record of 494 16 miles and challenge the world marks. Eight motor tandems will cover the course at about thirty five miles per hour with a start around 4 PM July 3 and finish during the July Fourth race meet.
