Private Bands for Concerts Open Season in Parks
For the first time in years the Municipal Band will not open the season. The Park Commission abolishes the Municipal Band and hires private musicians. Three concerts are set for tomorrow afternoon in Boston parks led by Theron D. Perkins, John B. Fielding, and J. A. Ives with performances at the Common Abbotswood Franklin Park and Marine Park.

Milford June 27 A station agent for Graf ton Upton street railway at Hopedale faces larceny charges for allegedly stealing $10,000 from the New York New Haven Hartford railroad while seeking a stock market windfall to help his elderly mother.

Milford man Garriepy arrested in $8000 rail shortfall case
Garriepy, 28, was arrested by Deputy Sheriff Bacon and held on $6000 bail for the August Superior Court session at Fitchburg after waiving reading of the complaint. The case involves a railway shortfall dating from 1909 to 1912 linked to the Grafton & Upton books and freight bill interchanges. Girl Charged With Theft Held on $1000 Bond
Miss Eliza V. Moran aged 20 of 36 West Newton street was arrested for breaking and entering Cecil Atkinson’s room and held for the grand jury in $1000 bonds. Police say she took clothing and a travelling bag valued at $73. Detectives searched her room and found men’s clothing, leading to questions about disguises. Moran denied knowledge of the clothing. She claims to be from St. Petersburg Florida and has sent money to her mother. friends are conducting an investigation and two circus men will be interviewed. Moran remains jailed without bail.
