Rapid Life and Heart Disease in New York City
The piece argues that a surge in heart disease deaths in New York City, rising to 125 in one week from 56 the prior year, reflects Americans living too fast. It cites stress from business, social duties, and worry as triggers, urging reforms in habits and diet and promoting Dr. Pierce’s Golden Medical Discovery as a stomach and nerve tonic. It includes endorsements of Golden Seal and Stone root components and urges moderation, rest, and outdoor activity for recovery.
