Call for Gas Price Cut Spurs Boston Consumers
Boston gas buyers press the gas commissioners to reduce the price from 130 to a lower rate, contending a dollar per thousand is too high. The Post editorial support is echoed by landlords, merchants, and former legislators, who urge city control to ensure fair pricing and quality. The commission plans to consider the matter when the schedule allows after summer heat.
