Treasury Deficit Ahead in Tomorrow's Statement

The Treasurer’s statement due tomorrow is expected to show a deficiency of about 600,000 dollars, reversing the usual net cash balance. Officials note large bank deposits and silver holdings, with current month expenditures surpassing revenues by over 8.1 million, driven by pension payments. They expect remainder-of-month spending to ease, with receipts likely producing a small surplus overall. If past two days’ receipts were included, a 2 million dollar surplus would appear.
