Kilburn J. Brown, a sleeping car conductor on the Canadian Pacific line between Montreal and Boston, is jailed after a long smuggling probe. U S customs say he defrauded the Treasury of about 100000 dollars by shipping contraband goods, including wearing apparel opium furs and silks, hidden inside pillow boxes and dropped along the route.
