Knights Templars Visit Springfield For Bunker Hill Anniversary

About 150 members of the Springfield Commandery Knights Templars arrived yesterday to mark the Battle of Bunker Hill anniversary. They stay at the United States Hotel and plan tours of city sights and a Point of Pines excursion. Leaders include Mayor Edwin D. Metcalf, State bank examiner E. P. Chapin, and E. P. Kendrick. They may return tonight or tomorrow morning.

Tufts College graduates and Lasell Seminary hold commencements

Tufts College conferred degrees on twenty four graduates across arts philosophy and divinity in a morning ceremony. Governor Hill Arrives in City for Gravelly Ridge Visit

Governor David B. Attempted train wreck found at Castlehill Salem

Early yesterday morning three railroad ties were laid across the inward Boston track near a curve at Castlehill Salem. The obstructions were discovered and removed before an inward freight train approached, averting a possible wreck.
