Bank losses mount from Cochecho National Bank collapse

William D. Scott proprietor of Scott's Hotel at Ashland died by self inflicted gunfire yesterday afternoon. He fired three shots with one entering the head. The 75 year old had suffered mental strain tied to poor business and leaves a widow.
