Hinebaugh Predicts Roosevelt Victory for Progressive Party

Congressman William Hinebaugh of Illinois urged Progressives at 14 Peal Street that Roosevelt will head the Progressive ticket to win the White House in 1916 and that Republicans and Democrats in several states will unite behind him. He spoke to team captains backing a $50,000 Bull Moose fund and praised Massachusetts for its ambitious campaign effort. The itinerary included a Maine stop in Kennebunk and a visit with Mayor Curley's aides. The Boston News Row clock reportedly tracked the fund’s progress, with $1483.50 added yesterday and the total public tally reaching $15,390.90.
