In Red Top Connecticut June 9 Captain Charles T Abeles coxswain of Harvard varsity eight was out of his seat with a slight cold. The doctor advised rest while he watched the crew from the launch with Coach Wray and his brother Alfred took his seat in the varsity four.

Rowing Crews Race Starts Amid Cold Northwest Wind

Captain Abeles may lead tomorrow if weather moderates while a cold NW wind made practice hard. Morning paddling occurred with all crews except second varsity. Varsity four changes put Gallagher in, Saltonstall bowing Carver. Afternoon racing tests near the navy yard saw freshmen win a quarter mile by a half length. Meyer remains away. Vote to Send Team to Chicago Meet
