Henry Clough son of architect George Clough escaped death after stepping from an open car at Park Street Brookline. Another open car rushed along the opposite track at high speed and could not be checked. Clough thrust up his arms and was struck, knocked twenty feet, badly shaken and bruised with a knocked out tooth, but not seriously hurt.

Arrest in Safe Blowing Case in Verett Street

Inspector Abbott and Officer Gilmore arrested Albert E. Perry at 6 on Friend Street as part of the Verett Street safe blowing case. Police believe at least three men were involved. Leader Jerry Brown was caught by Officer Tryder and Inspector Glidden. Perry previously served time for the 1893 Woburn post office robbery. Tryder says the third man will be captured soon.
