Woman from England Arrested in Domestic Service Theft Case

A 26 year old woman calling herself Mary J Barnes who arrived from England was employed as a domestic at Henry A Leach’s 1 Rollins Street home. She disappeared with valuables valued at 225 dollars, and was arrested on a New York train with the stolen items found on her.

Deserted Children Aid by Society for Prevention of Cruelty

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children reports aiding a three year old Banda boy deserted by his father. Burglary at McDonald Brothers Liquor Store on Tremont Street

Criminals entered McDonald Brothers liquor store at 1341 Tremont Street Sunday night and stole $7 in cash and a bottle of brandy valued at $3. Officer Curran arrested Henry Hunter yesterday for larceny of an overcoat, razor, and gloves worth $4,350 from Dr Sylvester R. Adams at 28 Temple Place. the property was recovered.

A Greenbackers meeting was held last evening in Codman Hall with W. S. Currier presiding. Charles McLean spoke on the party's condition. An organization was formed and officers elected: President W. Hi. Currier, Vice-President H M. Stone, Secretary P. L. Daley, Treasurer William B. Plumer.
