Noted Organ Maker Dead
George S. Hutchins president of the Hutchins Organ Company of Boston and Waltham died at his Cambridge home at 75 Henry Street. He was 77, long an invalid, born in Salem, known for organ innovations installed in many Eastern colleges, and Yale awarded him an honorary MA for the organ at Yale University. He was Civil War veteran, member of Masons and Odd Fellows, Massachusetts Charitable Association, and the Organists Guild. He leaves wife Mary E. Hutchins and three daughters. Funeral Tuesday at 5 PM.
