Douglas Again Active in Politics in Brockton

In Brockton at the Hotel Belmont the newly organized Democratic Club elected William I. Douglas president. The meeting adopted a declaration of principles, and Douglas urged liberal Democratic ideals while criticizing Republican trade policies and duties on shoe industry inputs. Offiers named include H. Ancient and Honorable Artillery Parade Caps 265th Field Day

The Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Boston celebrated its 265th birthday with a grand parade and events. Colonel Hedges was chosen captain for 1903, officers were elected on the Common, and a lavish banquet followed. The march featured diverse regiments, including New York’s Old Guard and Providence’s First Light Infantry, with a large crowd greeting the procession through Faneuil Hall.
