Two Boys Drown After Dory Sails to Plum Island

Sextuplet Defeats Express In Half Mile Race At Syracuse
Honors were even as the Stearns sextuplet and Empire State express ran two races on a specially prepared New York Central track in Syracuse. In the outward leg the sextuplet led by three lengths for a half mile. The express, arriving at 3 50 p m, defeated the sextuplet by several lengths, and Stearns Co will issue a challenge for a mile race.

Drowned Boy at Miller's River Near Prison Point
A drowning accident occurred in Miller's River Cambridge yesterday afternoon. James M Mooney aged 14 and several companions swam there when he cried out and disappeared beneath the water. A rescuer failed to locate him but patrolmen Scobey Rice and McCann recovered the body and delivered it to Mooney's parents.

Embezzler Louis L. Stone Ends Life After Confession
In Willimantic Connecticut Louis L Stone a three year assistant clerk at the Hooker House was found dead in the Thames River Norwich. Police say he killed himself after being exposed as an embezzler and confessing to thefts totaling beyond the settled sum of 350 dollars and a gold watch. He traveled to Norwich with Sheriff Hills to settle the matter and sent the money back. The discovery of his embezzlement and the shame of exposure were cited as the motive.
