News reaches Kerensky, now acting premier, wielding near absolute power to crush mutiny within the army or risk Kaiser's troops overrunning demoralized Russian forces. The new leader faces a pivotal moment as he appears at the front to rally troops and stabilize the country.
Congressman Dallinger favors a public works appropriation to improve Magazine Beach for Cambridge residents. The Boston Post editor notes the Massachusetts representative's support in Washington on July 23.
The Cambridge City Council will hold a public hearing at 8 o'clock tonight in City Hall to discuss a $25,000 appropriation for turning Magazine Park into a first class playground for the city's children. The meeting invites all Cambridge residents to participate.

Bernard A Howe 76 of Day Street Somerville collapsed in Watertown square noon. Others: John Hughs 58 South End Agnes Terbel 68 Roxbury George Welsh 58 Brockton Thomas Conroy 36 South Boston. All were hospitalized or returned home.
