Artillery Men Praised at Fort Andrews Drill
The Second Battalion of the Coast Artillery Corps at Fort Andrews completed its second day of strenuous drill on its 10 day tour. Regular army instructors praised the militiamen as they practiced 10 inch rifle gunnery and field drill with two morning and afternoon sessions. The unit held infantry drill, a retreat review, and a parade, while the fort hosted a band concert and an enlisted regulars dance.
