The husband, returning from the smoking room, found a man with his bride and a fight ensued spilling from the stateroom into the corridor. The wife locked the door as the captain ordered it broken. The Englishman left with injuries.
The admiralty reports recovery of five million dollars worth of bullion from the Laurentic wreck off the Donegal coast. The White Star liner Laurentic was torpedoed during the war. Authorities say the recovery is confirmed.

It was impossible for the Bath Garage Company to deliver a Ford machine and for this reason arrangements were made to modify the order. The note explains the delays and the proposed alternative in a concise local report.
Mrs. Elizabeth B. Sutherland aged 55 of 9 Meridian street East Boston burned by a lighted paper torch while cleaning a bed. She rushed from the top floor to the street screaming for help and died hours later at East Boston Relief Hospital. Only the bed room was slightly damaged, clothing flames were put out by her roll on a rug and a hasty escape. She had run a lodging house at her Meridian street home for years.
Jeremiah Myers aged 12 is killed at Revere Beach after a Giant Coaster train slows near the unloading platform and he is hurled from the last car. He had accompanied Elizabeth Fitzgerald 12 and Alice Sinclaire 11, all of Charlestown, on a day of amusement outings.
