Harry Kritzer, caretaker at Woburn Cemetery, collapsed and died after being asked to explain a mysterious body in a grave. He accused a friend, who rushed into a yard, and Kritzer died on seeing him.
Counsel for the Boston Legal Aid Society yesterday attacked Sherman L. Whipple amid an amended declaration seeking equity for 41 H. V. Greene Co. stockholders in a $15 million suit. Whipple denies the allegations and an injunction may be issued today.
A 14 year old, Francis Hooley of Cambridge, drowned in the Charles River near the Larz Anderson bridge. A playmate, Thomas Hastings of Somerville, dived to help but could not reach both. He later swam with others and recovered the body to shore.
New York date July 18 A jail term could follow after Mrs Margaret Maher refused to prosecute her husband George Maher who shot her five times on June 2 One bullet remains lodged in her spine as she testified in court from a hospital saying she deserved to be shot and she would not sign any paper against him.
Mrs. S. B. Howard of 25 Highland Road West Somerville won a Ford touring car in yesterdays Ford-a-Day contest She plans to use the new vehicle for trips between her Somerville home and her camp in Brewster The car's appearance in front of the Howard residence drew a large crowd and sparked excitement.
In Chicopee on July 1 amid Willimansett flood damage investigators probed threats from a group of young men who allegedly planned to blow up the Langwald Pond dam. State Detective David J. Manning led the inquiry into responsibility for the two dam breaks and resultant street flooding.

John Cronin aged 21 and Frank Carruth aged 23 of Gilbertville were drowned today in the Wheelwright mill pond. The accident occurred during an immersion near the works. Local authorities are investigating the circumstances.
State Detective Manning declined to comment on alleged threats following an argument between two young men and the pond bath houses caretaker. He said he would file his report tomorrow to Colonel Alfred F. Foote, Boston's commissioner of public safety.
