Anti Conkling Faction United Amid Miller Lapham Split

Murder over twenty ears of corn on Mount Holly road
A Texas pair demanded twenty ears of corn to feed a horse at a two mile from Holly Wood. Holden and John H. Wilson pursued the men eight miles from Hollywood. One man was shot by Wilson and the other captured. The slain man’s body lay in the woods until yesterday and the other prisoner was released after a magistrate refused to try him. An inquest was held and burial followed. Wilson fired a needle gun at the second man.
