Manchester dealers arrested over veal blowing practice
In Manchester a few days ago two meat dealers were arrested for blowing veal and exposing it for sale. Blowing is a repulsive fraud that makes meat look fatter. The practice is tolerated in some British towns but banned in others.

Five Bodies Found From Mexican Central Railroad Party
A relief party returning to El Paso from the Mexican Central railroad operation reports only five bodies recovered forty miles south of El Paso. Victims identified include Charles Green Independence Kansas Larry Fordham Boston Guy Leavitt Indiana George Wallace Taylorville Illinois Charles Haines Kansas. Remainder of the party including Upham are safe. The deaths were caused by renegade Apaches as they fled the wagons. Green was burned with the wagons. Bodies found nude and decomposed were buried on site.
