Boston Weather Relief as Rain Breaks Heat Wave
After five days of record heat in Greater Boston, a cooling rain swept the city last night. Within an hour the thermometer fell 23 degrees and relief was forecast for today and tomorrow. An east wind is due to replace the deadly southwest current, while the storm spurred fires and widespread damage in Wakefield and surrounding towns as deaths and prostrations rose to alarming levels.
