In Atlantic City New Jersey on July 7 Harry N Atwood and Charles K Hamilton, young aviators, were forced to battle for life after their plane was driven into breakers by a northeast wind. A bulldog on board curiosity contributed to the mishap. They escaped drowning from tangled wires as rescuers freed them. Flight was abandoned for the day.
