Dedham July 6. The East Dedham home of Eben Seery is opened by Chief Drugan and defense counsel as John and Joseph Seery await formal charges for allegedly causing their mother’s death. Attorneys report dark stains on the floor and missing bed coverings while officers defend delays in sharing evidence. The brothers remain jailed ten days. police anticipate a first degree murder count after consultations with the district attorney.
In Dedham a mother Mrs Seery and sons John W Joseph are under arrest after the death of Mrs Seery. Autopsy reports reveal a grave crime beyond murder as the family’s return to the old house led to nightly brawls. The body was interred at St Mary’s Cemetery as both youths mourned in jail.
