The 2 o'clock train from Boston on the Boston Revere Beach and Lynn line carried 50 passengers to the beaches last Saturday, the largest on a single trip. Over 10,000 people gathered at Lake Walden for temperance attractions with speakers including Rev. L. B. Bates Gen. John L. Swift Rev. J. C. Price Rev. O. P. Gifford and John B. Goi. Provincetown July 4 Fishermen report strong mackerel run

One schooner Stowell Sherman arrived with 40 barrels of mackerel caught off South shoals. Several arrivals noted at Harvichport and Dennisport. Sherman says the fish run large and along the shore. Good hauls reported off Nauset last week. Prospects look very good.

Fort Lee boat collision at Canal street pier injures passenger

New York on July 4 the Fort Lee boat Morrisania carrying 50 passengers struck the Acapulco at the Canal street pier when docking. George Gilmore was injured by flying splinters as the Acapulco’s plate damage cost about 1000. London reports later on the Gallia’s repair and crew rewards after a shaft break.
