Boston Floating Hospital Begins First Season Voyage
The Boston Floating Hospital set sail at 9 30 a m with 54 sick children on its first trip of the season. A corps of 60 nurses tended to patients as mothers from crowded tenements brought their children aboard for care. Managers praised new funding and support from North Shore society. staff lists include Dr J Warren Ball resident physician and Henry C Marble head of the food laboratory with a full medical and nursing team aboard.
