Plane flight tests by Miss Key thrill crowds in Cliftondale

Miss Florence T. Key Winthrop Schools instructor rode an airship with pilot H. Roy Waite at Cliftondale aviation field. Despite 30 mile per hour winds they covered 18 miles over Revere Lynn and Saugus reaching 1200 feet in about 20 minutes with around 300 spectators watching.

Judge James P. Platt Dies at 62 in Meriden

Judge James P. Platt of the U.S. District Court died at his Meriden home after a long illness. A Yale graduate, he was appointed to the bench in 1902 and was a son of former Senator Orville H. Platt. Survived by a widow and one daughter.
