E. P. Tobie Dies In Pawtucket At 61

Edward P. Tobie a respected Pawtucket resident died this afternoon from Brights disease at age 61. Born in Lewiston Maine he married Caroline Fryes sister to Senator William P Frye. Tobie moved to Providence in 1868 and served as local agent for the Providence Journal since 1881. He led the First Maine Cavalry Association as president and historian.
