The Suffolk Club held its annual meeting at 412 Beacon Street to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary. Charles H. Andrews chaired as president with Charles H. Taylor H. B. Tanger F. F. Hodges as directors and Alexis Torrey Louis Hecht Jr. W. H. Prior Zenas Sears Frank Marshall on the admission committee. Major Allen served as secretary and treasurer for the fourteenth time as resolutions on late president A. W. Spencer were read. An elaborate supper followed with Captain John C. Wyman of Providence, an honorary member, speaking.

The funeral for John P. Spaulding was held yesterday at South Congregational Church Newbury and Sexeter streets. The simple service honored a life of unostentation with Rev Edward Everett Hale officiating and the Ruggles Street Quartet singing. Armenian Relief Funds Routed To Turkey Amid Massacres

Frank H. Wiggin reports donations totaling 30 720 59 for starving Armenians have been sent to Constantinople. A portion, 01 37, will be disbursed by the Red Cross Society when agents arrive in Turkey, with the remainder forwarded to interior towns for survivor aid under English and American supervision.

Funeral for John L. Bremer at Beacon Street Home

The funeral for John L. Bremer was held yesterday at 11 at his Beacon Street home. Rev. Dr. E Winchester Donald of Trinity Church conducted the service with Trinity quartet providing music. The body was taken to Mt. Auburn cemetery after the house service, with six pallbearers and only intimate friends present.

Mrs Mary McNary dies after long illness at South Boston home

Mrs Mary McNary mother of Hon William S McNary of South Boston died yesterday morning at 69 Telegraph Street after a lingering illness. A longtime resident of South Boston she was closely involved with St Augustine's Church and known for her devout Catholic faith and Christian character. Her illness worsened in the last ten days and recovery hope ended last week.

Dorchester Letter Carriers Plan February Minstrel Show

Issue of Electric Light Bonds Approved

The Boston Electric Light Company will issue mortgage bonds totaling $200 000 for thirty years at up to 5 percent. Proceeds fund additions and extensions to the plant since July 1, 189% and any later improvements. The order was issued by the gas and electric light commissioners last night.

Man Sentenced for Injuring Fellow Worker at Boston Theatre

William H. James, colored, was sentenced by Judge Bond to one year in the House of Correction after assaulting George Harrison, also colored, on November 9 with a musket while both were employed at the Boston Theatre in Burmah. The blow fractured Harrison's skull and left him unconscious for hours. Harrison remained in hospital several days.

Cambridge Ridge Officer Honored for Rescue Feats

Patrolman Patrick Murray of Station 2 Cambridgeport received a silver medal from the Massachusetts Humane Society for heroically saving two men from drowning in the Charles River. The July 11, 1894 and December 18, 1895 incidents saw him enter the river in full uniform. Murray is famed as a brave and effective Cambridge officer and brother to Captain Murray and Inspector Murray.
