Appleton to the State Board of Agriculture, Elmer Dr. Howe and Jr. Howe Demond as trustees of the Massachusetts Agricultural College, Fisher Ames to draft statutory changes, and Dennis D. Sullivan as special justice of the Plymouth Fourth District Court. Lawton, born in Lowell, 48, was educated in public schools and Harvard, taught and practiced law, chaired Lowell Republican city committee, served as State Senator in 1893, and married Helen Mack in 1880. they have two sons.
