Veteran Lawyer Samuel B. Noyes Dies in Canton Home
The Hon. Samuel B. Noyes a longtime Canton lawyer and public officer died at his Canton home after a brief illness and heart failure. Born April 5 1817 in Dedham Mass he practiced in Canton from 1847 with roles as trial justice insolvency commissioner and school official. He was a noted writer and club member with extensive academic and cultural ties.

Alfred Morrison, accused of shooting and killing one of his wives in Mt. Vernon, was arraigned and held for the grand jury on a first degree murder charge. Judge Appell waived examination.
