Deficits after dividend payments appear in the Boston and Albany figures and the New Haven figures as shown by the railroad commissioners report issued yesterday.
Albany shows an $18 160 deficit while New Haven reports $929 989. New Haven paid $14 315 540 in dividends at 8 percent on stock. Boston and Maine shows a $1 290 248 surplus though dividends were charged to surplus. Street railways carried 701 798 274 passengers, up 18 435 557 from last year. One and a half million more miles were run, totaling 125 078 724.
Portsmouth dispatch reports the three masted schooner Henry P Havens refusing to proceed after arriving in port. The vessel was leaking badly with three feet of water in the hold. Owners were notified. cargo lumber from St John to Vineyard Haven.

The fugitives were Mrs Mary McGill jailed for aiding her husband in a robbery and Mabel Wilson jailed for vagrancy. McGill previously broke jail in the same way ten days earlier. She reportedly telephoned Salt Lake City yesterday to ask the cost of freeing her.
