The body of John H. Brooks, 61, missing from his Florence home since yesterday morning, was found by a search party in bushes beside the road. His throat was cut. Medical examiner rules death a self-inflicted act. Brooks, a machinist out of work and in poor health, was despondent and survived by a widow and a daughter.
