State House Blaze Doused by Boston Fire Department
A blaze erupted at the State House shortly after 6 pm with flames seen from the rear of the golden dome. In Columbus Milford January 2 Marie Givanne six year old daughter of Mr and Mrs P Givanne escaped serious harm when Italian children playing on the old church lot started a brush fire. A boy from the group plucked a burning brand and touched it to her dress. Martin Wall dashed in and covered her with his overcoat saving her life. Marie was taken home with burns to legs and back and is not certain to recover. The boy accused is son of G Castiliani, who died in a town fire last year. due to his youth no action is likely.
