Judge Gaskill of the Superior Court sustained the defendants demurrer in a case brought by H. M. G. Runkle against A. C. Burrage C. B. Burrage and Thomas W. Lawson. The suit, an accounting of a $20 000 investment, was challenged for lack of necessary parties lack of equity and laches. The court set a 10 day window to amend the bill.
May Wheat Futures Jump on Grains Markets
In Chicago trading, May wheat rose 212 cents to around $1.09 a bushel, 12.2 cents above the prior high. Heavy selling trimmed gains to near $1.071 12, with July wheat finishing 2 cents higher at about 98 1/8 cents.
