New Haven Conn Feb 24 David Breckinridge aged 79 colored was found dead this morning at his Winchester avenue home. He had lain dead two or three days and likely died of heart trouble. Medical Inspector Frank L. Dubois U S N longtime Portsmouth Navy Yard officer died this morning from an apoplectic shock at age 57. A native of Pennsylvania he joined the navy as assistant surgeon in 1862 and served at Washington Navy Yard and on storeship Fredonia saved after Arica wreck in 1868. He later served Chelsea Naval Hospital and Portsmouth yard 1888 to 1891 and on the European station 1891 to 1894 before returning to this yard three months ago. He leaves a wife a son and a daughter.
