Irish Language Revival Meeting Held at Chandler Hall
The monthly meeting of the Fairionn na Gaedhilge was held yesterday in Chandler Hall 18 Essex street chaired by P J O Daly with James Drinan as secretary. The proceedings were conducted in Irish and featured short Irish tales by Eugene Lyne and John Sheehan along with songs and recitations. The group noted similar language preservation bodies exist in Ireland and London and approved issuing all future notices in Irish.
