Mrs. Victoria Ludasy from Hunyar Transylvania chased her 18 year old daughter Dorothea and her lover Gabriel Szabadoe across New York seeking to detain them before they head to Salt Lake City. Howgate Acquitted in Embezzlement and Forgery Case

Mrs George Emery 48, owner of a Lynde Street restaurant, was found dead in a locked Green Street Thorndike House room yesterday at 9 am from a gas accident. A doctor and medical examiner were notified. officials believe she intended self harm and stayed at the hotel due to her son being there. Relatives reside in Lowell.

Trains collide injure and kill in Linden Ohio church outing

In Linden Ohio this morning a freight train struck a double rig carrying a group of youths en route to church. Miss Allie Hunt and Miss Bessie Hunt were killed. Miss Margaret Hess was severely hurt. Miss Louise Camp suffered leg and arm injuries. Walter Briggs the driver received minor injuries.

Republican members of the Legislature in Guthrie, Oklahoma Territory, secure majorities in both houses after a long caucus. Assault on Officer Leads to Waltham Arrest

James Scanlin was arrested Saturday by Waltham police on a warrant charging assaulting an officer in the line of duty. Earlier, Officers Hastman and Currier tried to arrest Frank Peters at Endicott Hall for a disturbance. Peters resisted, and during the struggle both officers were knocked down and assaulted by a crowd as Peters escaped and remains at large. Scanlin was identified as a participant and will be arraigned this morning.
