Evidence in dynamite conspiracy case outlined by Miller
Indianapolis February 18 three kinds of evidence are prepared for prosecution of 54 men indicted in the dynamite conspiracy. The government will corroborate with witnesses names already known and with 40000 letters from the Iron Workers headquarters. Stenographic records of a telephonic apparatus overheard conversations among officials. Ortie McManigal’s confession likely forms the basis of the case. Irwin’s Chicago arrest leaves two fugitives. McManigal had blown up places near Peoria including a 1910 explosion injuring a night watchman.
