Paris Feb 17 Marshal Foch informed the Supreme Council of Germany's acceptance of armistice renewal terms. Two notes were handed to Foch by Mathias Erzberger at Treves. One concerned use of German mercantile marine. the other requested prisoner releases and continued economic ties with occupied territories.
New Haven report says General Peyton March told Mayor Fitzgerald the 26th Division will not arrive in the United States for several months. He cited impossibility of assembling the 102d Infantry for a New Haven parade after the Boston reception. The Post had quoted Congressman Fuller claiming Pershing set February 20 sailing.
Marshal Foch appeared before the council of great powers and announced the acceptance by the Germans of the new armistice conditions. The statement signaled progress toward final signing of the peace terms.
About 300 young men returning from the service were honored at a Cambridge reception last evening at the Harvard Radio School drill hall. Mayor Quinn city officials and about 300 citizens and servicemen attended the event.

Paris Feb 17 The Boston Post reports that the Irish question will not be discussed at the peace conference. Despite agitation in Ireland and America for recognition, no official action is planned as the great tribunal of peace proceeds.
President Wilson in Paris refuses to recognize Sinn Fein leaders in Ireland amid pressure. Sinn Fein delegates have pressed for audience in the ten days before his departure for Boston, but he has found it inconvenient to meet them.
President Wilson spent his first Sunday at sea aboard the U S S George Washington attending church services and resting. He did not take part in official business or send dispatches and did not comment on the League of Nations. He plans a Boston speech upon landing and a Congress address outlining two months of Europe work.
