In Copenhagen on February 16 Marshal Foch refused to extend armistice terms. He stated the armistice expires at 5 AM Monday with a final signing limit of 6 PM Sunday. He warned that failure to sign would end the armistice and force troop moves from Treves.
Militant radicals plan to line the pier when George Washington docks to display banners denouncing the act. Police may interfere if the protest disrupts ceremonies or security at the port.
Former Canadian prime minister Sir Wilfrid Laurier suffered a stroke at his Ottawa residence on February 16. Doctors called his condition critical earlier, but his secretary said there is no immediate cause for anxiety.
The ailing leader of the opposition Sir Wilfrid Laurier, nearly 78, was stricken while dressing for church. He recovered consciousness two hours later and, while busy with Parliament plans and Ontario convention work, exhibited no fatigue in public duties. He remains not critically ill.

A severely mangled male body was found beside the South ern Division Boston and Maine Railroad tracks near the Walnut street bridge in Somerville last night. A inward-bound train crew discovered the body and the medical examiner was notified.
