Fire on Steamship North Haden Quieted at Long Wharf

Engine 47, a fireboat from Boston Tow Boat Co., responded to the steamship North Haden of the Eastern Steamship Co. at Long Wharf. An overheated smokestack caused a blaze in the hold, quickly knocked down by the fireboat crew with $50 in damage.
