Harvard senior class votes to move the old tree flower display to the Holden area avoiding violence. The plan excludes a floral numeral figure and bars clothing for contestants. Exressions will be extended and a seniors dance is planned the night before class day.
The old class day remains unchanged while a new policy requires senior class members to wear caps and gowns around the yard from the April recess to commencement day. This change formalizes graduation attire and aligns with the upcoming ceremony schedule.
Charles White a 55 year old stationary engineer at Bridgeport Brass Company was shot in the neck and likely fatally wounded by Thomas Rylands a cartridge company official during a robbery of $1400. Three masked men attacked near the traction office as Rylands and his brother tried to lock up the money. White's condition is critical with possible spinal injury. police suspect White was used by accomplices.
Henry Hickman living at 6 Maple Place off Oak Street hanged himself in his wife presence at 12 15 this morning. Despondent from unemployment he fashioned a rope from suspenders tied to bedpost and fell dead. Dr Lapraik attended wife left destitute city to bury body.

William Gaul of 683 Dwight Street allegedly took two diamond rings worth 17 dollars and 7 dollars in cash from Harriet Brown of 15 Pembroke Street after a quarrel. A warrant was issued, and Special Officer Knowlton of Station 5 arrested Gaul at Hollis Street Theatre where he worked as a stage hand.
Michael Coughlin an electrical repairer of 1461 South Main street Brockton fell twenty feet in the Brockton power house yesterday afternoon He struck a belt and rolled onto a machine causing a broken right knee cap and injuries to his left arm and left ankle He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment.
